Safe Kids Douglas County is committed to reducing and preventing accidental injuries to children in Douglas County. Safe Kids Douglas County pledges to raise public awareness of preventable injuries, to support public policy on child safety and to provide safety education to parents, caregivers, children and youth. We provide information and education on the following topics:
· Car and Booster Seats, · Poison Prevention, · Water Safety, · Bicycle/Wheel Safety, · Home Safety and, · Pedestrian Safety. Safe Kids Douglas County depends upon grants and donations to purchase safety equipment and to help cover operational expenses related to events and educational programs.
Safe Kids Douglas is a collaborative of law enforcement, educators, medical and fire professionals, local businesses, and volunteers.
We are a 501C(3), not-for-profit, organization. We do not charge for our programs. We are proudly led by Cobb & Douglas Public Health and generously sponsored by the; WellStar Foundation, ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Hightower Memorial Towers, CSX and, local donors. |
