Did You Know?
- Road injuries are the leading cause of unintentional deaths to children in the United States.
- Of those children ages 8 and under who died in vehicle crashes in 2014, 26 percent were not restrained by an age-appropriate device such as an infant seat, booster seat or seat belt.
- Children should ride in a vehicle back seat until they are at least 13 years old.
Directions from Douglas Wellstar Hospital: take a right onto Hospital Dr. Take a right turn at the traffic light at the corner of the Courthouse onto Dorris Rd. Drive straight until you see the Douglas County Transportation Center/commuter lot on your left. Drive into the complex and look for the long overhead bus shelter in the center.
Directions from Bankhead Hwy and Fairburn Rd: Drive one mile on Fairburn Rd toward I20. Take a right between Chick Fil A and Walgreens onto Durelee Lane, drive about 1/2 mile and you will see the Douglas County Transportation Center on your left. Drive into the complex and look for the long overhead bus shelter in the center.
Directions from I20 Westbound: Exit Fairburn Rd (Exit 37) and continue onto Fairburn Rd for approximately 1/2 mile. Take a left turn in between Walgreens and Chick Fil A onto Durelee Lane. Drive about 1/2 mile and you will see the Douglas County Transportation Center on your left. Drive into the complex and look for the long overhead bus shelter in the center.
